The Open Championship in Grappling Among Schoolchildren Took Place in Kara-Balta
About 100 young athletes from nine teams representing Bishkek, Aleksandrovka, and Kara-Balta participated in this tournament.
The students of the Jayil Children's and Youth Sports School, who prepared for the competitions under the guidance of their new coach Syrgak Zhaparkulov, achieved significant success. Twenty of his trainees participated in the tournament, and most of them received prize places.
The best in the weight category up to 38 kg was Zakir Butobaev, who confidently conducted all his matches. Silver medals were awarded to Erbol Zhaparkulov (up to 28 kg) and Almir Melisov (up to 45 kg). The bronze medalists were Nurkhan Kyzurov and Ali Saipzhanov (up to 34 kg), Abubakir Urustenbekov (up to 40 kg), Kadyr Zuvurov (up to 58 kg), and Erbolot Absatarov (up to 73 kg).
The judging panel noted the high physical preparation of the team. All winners and prize winners received commemorative medals and diplomas.
The award ceremony for the jiu-jitsu athletes trained by Almaz Mambetov from the "Manas" sports club, who is also one of the organizers of the championship, was equally interesting. His trainees demonstrated consistent results in various weight and age categories.
- Bronze medals were won by Argen Sharshenkhanov (U-16, 64 kg), Ali Akhmedov (U-16, 67 kg), Ruslan Shostak (2014, 35 kg), Ayazbek Kanybekov (2014, 40 kg), Hamza Aslanov (2013, 41 kg), Zagar Osmonov (2015, 49 kg), Kadyr Kudayberdiev (U-16, 60 kg), as well as Anas Zholdoshev, Daniel Kerimbaev, and Nurislam Botosaitov.
- Silver medalists: Ramis Aslanov (2018, 38 kg), Urmat Mergenov (U-16, 48 kg), Rinat Ibraimov (U-16, 56 kg), Shamo Osmonov (U-16, 74 kg), Duishonalyy uulu Ramazan (2014, 40 kg).
- Gold medals were awarded to Nurel Omurbekov (U-14, 44 kg), Ariet Zholdoshov (U-16, 63 kg), Elmirek Sadyrbekov (2017, 43 kg).
Special attention at the awards ceremony was drawn to the new colored belts: athletes who took first places, as well as athletes with the fourth stripe, received level upgrades.
Gray belts were awarded to Nurel Omurbekov, Duishonalyy uulu Ramazan, Shamo Osmonov, Daniel Kerimbaev, and Rinat Ibraimov.
Orange belts were awarded to Ariet Zholdoshov and Elmirek Sadyrbekov.
According to Almaz Mambetov, this championship was an important stage in preparation for larger competitions, including the republican jiu-jitsu tournament, for which four athletes received invitations.
