Schoolchildren from the Jayil District participated in the chess championship in the city of Karakol

From January 4 to 9, 2026, an open chess championship for children aged 6 to 18 took place in Karakol, located in the Issyk-Kul region.

100 young intellectuals participated in this tournament.

Two schoolchildren from the Jayil district represented their region in the competition. Anna Palatova, a 5th-grade student at the Christian school in Kara-Balta, won 2nd place. Her peer, Bakai Madaliev from the 6th grade of Secondary School No. 8 in Kara-Balta, took 14th position. The preparation of these young chess players is conducted by Ernest Zhakypov.

All winners and prizeholders received commemorative medals and diplomas provided by the Karakol City Children's and Youth Sports School.
