Today, March 31, the campaign in Kyrgyzstan allowing free replacement of indefinite driver's licenses is coming to an end. This was announced by the First Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Boobek Salimzhanov, at a press conference held at the Kabar agency.

Salimzhanov noted that this initiative, which started on January 15, was developed to assist holders of driver's licenses that do not have an expiration date.

Starting April 1, the campaign will end, and the cost of replacing licenses will be 1389 soms.

"The campaign was announced for holders of indefinite licenses so that they could update their documents without payment. Starting tomorrow, this service will become paid. If you have a license with an established expiration date, continue to use it until it expires. There is no need to rush," noted Boobek Salimzhanov.
He also emphasized that old driver's licenses remain valid and legal. Currently, there are no regulations that would recognize them as invalid.
