The upward-reaching tulip (Tulipa anadroma Botschanz.) — a unique endemic species found exclusively in Kyrgyzstan — has reached the finals of an international competition dedicated to rare and vulnerable species.
The competition is organized by the Indianapolis Zoo (USA). The participation of the Kyrgyz tulip became possible thanks to the initiative of the Group of Wild Tulip Specialists under the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
In the previous stages of the competition, the tulip gathered about 10,000 votes, allowing it to advance to the finals.
The editorial team of VB.KG expresses gratitude to readers for their active participation, which enabled Kyrgyzstan to reach the finals of the international competition.
Voting in the finals starts today at 19:00 and will last until 10:00 on April 4. You can participate by following this link.
Everyone can support the tulip by voting once a day through the provided link, as well as via QR code and the project's Instagram page.
Experts urge Kyrgyz citizens not to miss the opportunity to support this unique natural symbol of the country in the finals.
