Ormon Sultan gaziev, a researcher at the laboratory of geobotany and protected areas of the National Academy under the President, informed AKIpress that there are about 100 species of tulips in the world, of which around 30 can be found in Kyrgyzstan.
“These flowers come in many shapes and shades—from bright reds and yellows to whites and mixed colors. They bloom in early spring—from March to May—when the snow melts in the mountains and the ground begins to absorb moisture,” the specialist added.
