At the Tashkent Water Week 2026, taking place in the capital of Uzbekistan, it was emphasized that the Republic actively collaborates with Russia, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan on water resource issues, despite the lack of shared transboundary rivers. This was reported by Maxim Korolkov, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia, here.

Regular joint activities conducted by Uzbekistan include the exchange of experiences and work in more than 50 working groups that gather annually to discuss priority issues. This format of cooperation is aimed at implementing modern technologies and developing sustainable solutions for the rational use of water resources.
