Residents of Bishkek's new buildings have started creating mini-parks on their own
In Bakai-Ata, located in Bishkek, a large-scale ecological initiative has begun aimed at improving the new buildings. Local residents, in collaboration with volunteers, held the first community clean-up day, during which they planted trees, thus starting the creation of compact recreational areas in private construction zones.

This project includes comprehensive landscaping of the areas. In the new mini-parks, it is planned not only to plant deciduous trees, shrubs, and perennial flowers but also to install benches and trash bins. The main task of the activists is to ensure a comfortable urban environment and increase the area of green spaces in residential areas where there is a lack of park zones.

The organizers have already drawn up a schedule for upcoming events and invite everyone interested to join the greening actions. The nearest tree plantings are scheduled for the following dates:

March 27 - Ak-Ordo-2 and Ak-Ordo-3

March 28 - Ak-Ordo-1

March 29 - Ruhiy-Muras

April 4 - Kalyis-Ordo

April 5 - Muras-Ordo

This initiative is being carried out by the Resource Center for the Elderly with the support of the Danish non-governmental organization A More Inclusive Society (AMIS). Anyone wishing to contribute to the creation of green zones or join the work is invited to get more detailed information by calling 0755 955 001.
