Street trading and problems at the market have caused dissatisfaction among city authorities
As a result of a meeting dedicated to the situation at the Orto-Sai market, several high-ranking officials were dismissed from the Bishkek city hall.
The city leadership expressed dissatisfaction with the state of the market and the spread of unauthorized trading.
As a result of the discussions, the following officials were dismissed: Kubandyk Akmatbekov, who held the position of head of the organizational and control department of the city hall, as well as Zhanibek Orozaliev, the akim of the Oktobrskiy district, and his first deputy Maiyrambek Adylbekov.
In addition, disciplinary measures were taken for insufficient control and improper performance of official duties:
- warnings were issued to the deputy mayors Azamat Kadyrov and Ramiz Aliyev;
- reprimands were given to Asylbek uulu Bakai, head of the Municipal Enterprise "City Road Transport Infrastructure," and Mirlanbek Talaybekov, head of the municipal inspection.
There is also an initiated review regarding the compliance of the head of the economics and finance department in the Oktobrskiy district administration with the position held.
