The President emphasized GDP growth, progress in infrastructure, and the implementation of significant projects
During the festive event dedicated to Nowruz, President Sadyr Japarov reported on the impressive achievements of the economy of the Naryn region over the past five years.
According to him, the gross domestic product (GDP) of the region increased from 18 billion soms in 2020 to 40 billion soms by 2025, which corresponds to a growth of 224 percent and more than a twofold increase in indicators.
The industrial sector has also undergone significant changes: the volume of production increased by 5.7 times. Last year, 134 new facilities were put into operation, contributing to the creation of hundreds of jobs.
Currently, projects worth 21 billion soms are being implemented in the Naryn region, covering the construction of 143 facilities. Over the past five years, the construction of 51 social facilities has been completed, including schools, kindergartens, and medical institutions.
Particular attention is being paid to the development of road infrastructure: during this period, 259 kilometers of roads have been asphalted in the region, of which 135 kilometers are planned for 2025.
The President also noted the importance of the "Tenir-Tuu" development fund, which has been receiving 0.6 percent of the gross income from "Kumtor" since 2022. To date, the fund has accumulated about 2 billion soms, which are directed towards social and infrastructure projects, as well as the construction of mortgage housing.
In addition, 2 billion 382 million soms have been allocated from the presidential stabilization fund for the creation of a unique cultural center in Naryn.
