Deputy Akim Kanibek Esenaliev reported that the date of the Nowruz celebration coincided with Orozo Ait. The festive celebrations opened with religious rituals, including the preparation of the traditional dish tokach and conducting memorial prayers in honor of the departed.
In the Dörböljün square, local institutions and enterprises set up four yurts. As part of the preparations for the holiday, which will take place the next day, 14 cauldrons of sümölök and 3 cauldrons of festive soup köjö were organized.
The Nowruz celebration in Bayetov will include various competitions to promote Kyrgyz national values. The program of events includes contests among ayil aimaks and organizations in the following areas:
- ethnoculture: competitions in rapid construction and decoration of yurts.
- culinary art: preparation of sümölök and demonstration of the best national dishes.
- craftsmanship: exhibition and competition of products by folk artisans.
Sports competitions and a concert program will also be part of the official part of the holiday. Winners of all contests will receive cash prizes.
