The modern system "Avtouragan" was realized as part of the "Safe Country" project.
The complexes have been installed on the main highways of the country:
- Bishkek — Kordai;
- Bishkek — Naryn — Torugart;
- Bishkek — Balakchi — Cholpon-Ata — Karakol.
This automated system is capable of recording various violations, including speeding, driving in the opposite lane, not wearing a seatbelt, ignoring traffic signs, and having unpaid fines.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that the main goal of implementing "Avtouragan" is not to impose fines, but to prevent road traffic accidents and protect the lives of citizens.
