On March 16, the mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev, held a meeting with Askar Salymbekov, the president of the "Dordoy" Association. During the discussion, the focus was on the improvement of the area adjacent to the lake and the "Dordoy" market. This information was provided by the press service of the mayor's office.
The mayor emphasized that support for businesses from the city should be organized systematically and in compliance with all city regulations. In this regard, large-scale work is planned to improve the area around the lake.
As part of the project, it is planned to install a fence around the lake, carry out cleaning and organize the adjacent territory, as well as create a new walking area that will ensure safety and comfort for market visitors and local residents.
Additionally, as part of the overall improvement of the market infrastructure, the possibility of constructing multi-level parking and optimizing existing parking spaces is being considered.
The mayor also instructed to return all parking areas to the municipality's balance and implement a payment system via QR codes.
Askar Salymbekov reported that road construction in the market area will start on April 1, 2026.
At the end of the meeting, Aibek Junushaliev instructed the Sverdlovsk district administration, as well as the municipal property management and land use control departments, to complete the preparatory work, including the dismantling of facilities that hinder the improvement around the lake and the implementation of infrastructure projects.
