Road works and power line relocation continue on the Lebedinovka - HPP-5 highway
In the area of the Lebedinovka - HPP-5 highway, which connects to the Northern bypass road of the capital of Kyrgyzstan, the process of expanding the bridge is ongoing. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the information from the agency, at the moment, the old metal barriers and asphalt on both sides of the bridge have been completely dismantled. New reinforced concrete beams have been installed, and work is currently underway to expand it.
Additionally, earthworks continue on the section of the road up to Jibek-Jolu Street (0-360 m), as well as the relocation of telecommunications and power lines.
It is important to note that due to construction work on the bridge, the section of the Lebedinovka - HPP-5 highway (0-360 m) is temporarily closed to vehicles from February 15 to April 20.
“The length of the Lebedinovka - HPP-5 highway is 5.1 km. During the reconstruction process, it is planned to change the road category and expand it from 2 to 4 lanes. The project also includes the installation of street lighting and the construction of sidewalks on both sides of the large bridge, as well as a separate bridge for pedestrians,” the agency added.
