According to the ministry, contractors are currently dismantling old metal railings on both sides of the bridge, as well as conducting milling and cleaning of worn-out asphalt.
Earthworks are also ongoing on the section of the road from the bridge to Jibek Jolu Avenue, which include the relocation of power supply and telecommunications lines.
Due to the reconstruction, this section of the road has been closed to traffic from February 15 to April 20, and drivers are asked to take these restrictions into account when planning their routes.
The length of the Lebedinovka – HES-5 route is 5.1 kilometers. Upon completion of the work, the road will be expanded from two to four lanes. Additionally, the project includes the installation of lighting, the construction of new sidewalks on both sides of the bridge, and the creation of a separate pedestrian crossing.
The goal of all the work is to improve the road's capacity and reduce traffic load in the northern part of Bishkek.
