Fountains at TSUM may return: the controversial building has been almost completely demolished
Vice Mayor Azamat Kadyrov reported that a plan is being discussed to return the fountains after the demolition of the controversial building, which has sparked numerous discussions in society.
Deputy Almaz Askar uulu raised the issue of the fate of this object, noting that its construction was carried out without an approved sketch.
According to Kadyrov, a significant amount of work on the demolition has already been completed. "The third and second floors have been demolished, only the first remains," he added.
Earlier, the mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev, instructed the demolition of structures near the department store and the return of the fountains and green areas to their original state, as the building being constructed did not comply with the approved architectural project and urban planning standards.
According to the mayor's office, after the demolition work is completed, the area will be improved, and the fountain complex will be restored.
