During an inspection on February 19, Mayor Aibek Junushaliev emphasized the importance of preserving green spaces and fountains on Chuy Avenue. He noted that the construction project near TSUM "Aichurek" does not comply with established urban planning norms and the approved project.
In response, JSC "TSUM 'Aichurek'" made an official statement.
“The land plot for the 'Old Bishkek' project is not owned by JSC 'TSUM 'Aichurek'. It was transferred to another owner — LLC 'Central Aizhan Trade Company' as a result of a sales agreement. Since the registration of ownership rights, we have had no relation to this project,” the company stated.
JSC "TSUM 'Aichurek'" is neither the developer, nor the customer, nor the investor, nor responsible for the design and construction works. All issues related to architectural and technical aspects fall under the jurisdiction of the new owner and developer.
Nevertheless, JSC "TSUM" expresses its support for the preservation of green and fountain areas, as well as adherence to urban planning norms and the interests of the city residents.
Although this project does not fall under our jurisdiction, we find it necessary to emphasize that TSUM is ready to initiate the demolition of the construction project according to the verbal instruction of the mayor of Bishkek,” the company's statement said.
