Who owns the land under the fountains near TSUM? Different versions are being voiced. Let's figure it out
The construction in the center of the capital, located next to TSUM and GUM, has been causing heated discussions for almost a year. Closed roads, traffic jams, and difficulties for pedestrians — all these are consequences of the so-called renovation of Bishkek.

On February 19, the mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, conducted an inspection at the construction site, where he issued a number of strict directives regarding the ongoing work.

A key point was the requirement to dismantle the metal structure installed at the site of the fountains near TSUM.

"If the dismantling does not begin within three days, the УКЗ will be involved. All costs for the dismantling will fall on the construction company. This is not up for discussion," the mayor stated.

The majority of complaints from the city administration are directed specifically at these facilities. Tashiev also criticized the construction when he held the position of chairman of the GKNB.

In December, he ordered the dismantling of structures and stops that narrow the roadway. Additionally, Tashiev insisted on the demolition of the third floor of the building under construction, as per the materials provided by the city administration and the Ministry of Construction, it was supposed to be a two-story building.

What do the owners say?

This news delighted many city residents who had already lost hope for improving the appearance of the city center.

Old Bishkek temporarily suspended the dismantling of the three-story building and the construction of the strange structure at the site of the fountains. Later, interesting statements began to emerge from various parties regarding the ownership of the object.

According to VIA "24.kg", the Old Bishkek project is an independent initiative.

Furthermore, TSUM "Aichurek" notified that it has no relation to the building being erected. Recall that during the inspection on February 19, the city administration stated that the construction does not comply with the approved project and urban planning standards.

Thus, it can be assumed that a third company is involved in the construction on this complex site?

Although the company itself previously emphasized the importance of the fountains for TSUM and explained why the willows were removed.

What is known about the third company?

LLC "Central Aizhan Trade Company" has already been mentioned in materials about the construction project that TSUM distributed in 2025.

According to the Ministry of Justice, LLC "Central Aizhan Trade Company" is registered in the Lenin district of Bishkek at the address: Berdibaeva St., 87. The initial registration of the company took place on March 14, 2022, and re-registration was on August 13, 2025. The main type of activity is real estate management. Contact details of the company are not available.

The head is Supataev Aydar Kazibekovich, who is also its founder.

It is known that in 2018 he ran for deputy of the local kenesh of Kara-Balta from the "Zhaksylik-Dobro" party.

According to some data, he is 36 years old, studied at KNU, worked at MKK "Finka," and was a trusted person of the candidate for deputy in the Pervomaisky electoral district No. 27 in 2021, Meirimbek Koichumanov, who was recently appointed deputy head of the National Agency for Investments under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
