In Kyrgyzstan, 9 million trees will be planted
The national initiative "Zhashyl Muras" is actively ongoing in the country.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has announced plans to plant 9 million trees as part of the "Zhashyl Muras" initiative, which is set to be completed by 2026.
According to information from local authorities, 3,820,663 seedlings have already been planted in the country over an area of 3,250.6 hectares. Regular protection and watering of these trees is being carried out.
In 2025, as part of the same campaign, 8,239,915 seedlings were planted across the country over an area of 6,420 hectares, with a survival rate of 74.5 percent.
Among the species of trees planted are poplar, elm, birch, oak, walnut, pistachio, almond, apple, apricot, Tian Shan spruce, pine, juniper, mulberry, and many others.
