The national initiative "Zhasyl Murass" in Kyrgyzstan continues its active tree planting efforts. According to local authorities, a total of 3 million 820 thousand 663 saplings have been planted over an area of 3 thousand 250.6 hectares.

Additionally, regular watering and protection of these trees are being carried out after their planting.

As part of this campaign, 8 million 239 thousand 915 saplings were planted across the country in 2025, covering an area of 6 thousand 420 hectares. The survival rate was 74.5 percent.
Among the tree species that were planted, notable mentions include poplar, black locust, birch, oak, walnut, pistachio, almond, apple, apricot, Tian Shan spruce, pine, juniper, and mulberry.
In the next year, 2026, it is planned to plant another 9 million trees, which should contribute to improving the ecological situation and increasing the area of green spaces in the country.
