How many and what types of trees were planted in Kyrgyzstan in 2025

In 2025, as part of the "Zhasyl Muras" initiative, 8,239,915 seedlings were planted in Kyrgyzstan.
According to the Ministry of Ecology, among the planted trees, one can find species such as poplar, elm, birch, oak, walnut, pistachio, almond, apple, apricot, Tian Shan spruce, pine, juniper, mulberry, and others.

These seedlings covered an area of 6,420 hectares, with a survival rate of 74.5%.

To date, 3,820,663 seedlings have been planted in the country, covering an area of 3,250.648 hectares. Plans for 2026 include the planting of 9 million new seedlings. Irrigation and protection work for the plantations is being carried out according to schedule.
