The Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan and the ILO signed a joint action plan


Muratil Jumadilde uulu, head of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan, and Sergius Glovatskas, head of the Europe and Central Asia sector at the International Labour Organization, signed a new joint action plan.

According to information provided by the Federation of Trade Unions, this document includes a number of initiatives aimed at improving social and labor relations in Kyrgyzstan, protecting workers' rights, promoting the principles of decent work, and strengthening the role of trade unions in society.

According to the chairman of the FPK, the signed agreement opens new horizons for the development of the trade union movement within the country.

He noted: “Cooperation with the International Labour Organization is of great importance to us. This work plan will help strengthen the mechanisms for protecting the rights of workers in Kyrgyzstan, expand the capabilities of trade unions, and implement the best international practices in the labor sphere.”

Muratil Jumadilde uulu added that joint projects will contribute to social justice and enhance the protection of workers' interests.

Sergius Glovatskas, for his part, emphasized the importance of partnership with Kyrgyzstan and expressed readiness for further active cooperation.

“We highly value our cooperation with Kyrgyzstan. The signed plan is aimed at supporting the principles of decent work, developing social dialogue, and promoting sustainable labor market development in the country,” he added.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed current issues of labor relations, the role of trade unions in modern society, and prospects for further cooperation.

The cooperation plan includes the exchange of international experience, the organization of training events, enhancing the capacity of trade union organizations, and supporting the development of social dialogue between government bodies, employers, and workers.
