The play "The Chairs," written in 1951, is a vivid example of tragic farce that has become a symbol of the Theater of the Absurd and has been staged in many countries, gaining cult status.
A chair is what remains of a person when they step out for a moment. The chair still holds their warmth, echoes the curves and experiences of the body, but without the person, it is nothing.For the first time, this work will be presented in the Kyrgyz language thanks to the translation by Alymkan Degenbaeva, a renowned poetess and honored figure of culture of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The director of the production is Chagalak Zamirbekov, the set design and costumes were developed by Zuhra Mukambetova, and the choreographer is the honored figure of culture of the KR Sergey Streltzov.
