Dimash has been honored with a new honorary status in the world
On March 5, a significant event took place at "Astana Opera": the famous singer Dimash Kudaibergen received the title of "Ambassador of Culture of the Turkic World." This became known through a statement by the Secretary General of Turksoy, Sultan Raev.
Dimash is only the second person in the world to receive this high honor. The first such recipient is the outstanding Turkish scientist Aziz Sancar, who was awarded the Nobel Prize.
On the same day, the "Golden Crane" award for significant contributions to the cinema of the Turkic world was received by the renowned actress Samal Yeslyamova. She was recognized for her role in the film "Ayka," which earned her the highest award at the Cannes International Film Festival — the "Golden Palm Branch."
Sultan Raev emphasized that both of these outstanding representatives of Kazakh culture proudly carry the banner of Kazakh and Turkic culture around the world. He also expressed hope for Dimash's visit to Kyrgyzstan, where the singer will be able to perform the famous song "Küydüm chok" by the great Atay.
