While winning a Golden Globe does not guarantee success at the Oscars, it can significantly boost the chances of nomination.
As one of the first ceremonies in the awards season, the Golden Globe can set the tone and attract the attention of the academicians, which can ultimately influence the selection of films for the Oscars.
Stars such as Sebastian Stan and Demi Moore have won Oscars after winning Golden Globes. The films "Stream" and "I’m Still Here" also first won Golden Globes before receiving Oscars in their respective categories.
