A concert dedicated to International Women's Day on March 8 was held in Bishkek

About 5000 women from all corners of the capital gathered for this event


A large celebration in honor of International Women's Day – March 8 took place in Bishkek, as reported by the press service of the city administration.

The festive concert was held at the "Zhashtyk" arena and attracted around 5000 women from various districts of the city.

Among the participants were the First Lady of the country Aigul Japarova, the mayor of the capital Aibek Junushaliev, the Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Migration Kanat Sagynbaev, as well as honored guests and representatives from various professions.

In his speech, Mayor Aibek Junushaliev congratulated all women on the holiday and wished them health, happiness, and success in life.

“Bishkek has a population of over 1.5 million people, more than half of whom are women. This underscores the importance of your role in shaping the atmosphere and future of our city. The women of Bishkek actively participate in the life of the city, raise children, and develop education, culture, science, sports, and entrepreneurship. You pass on traditions and knowledge from generation to generation, creating strong families and an atmosphere of trust,” noted the mayor.

He also thanked the workers of the Municipal Enterprise "Bishkekzelenstroy" and "Tazalyk" for their efforts in the beautification of the city.

As part of the festive program, a concert took place featuring both classical and contemporary works from well-known performers and creative groups. This event became a sign of recognition and respect for women for their significant contribution to the life of society, the city, and the country.
