More than 5,000 Bishkek women gathered for a festive concert in honor of March 8 – photo report
In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, a significant event was held in honor of International Women's Day on March 8. The concert took place at the "Zhashtyk" arena, gathering around 5,000 participants from all corners of the city.
Among the honored guests were the First Lady of Kyrgyzstan Aigul Japarova, the mayor of the capital Aibek Junushaliev, the Minister of Labor, Social Security, and Migration Kanat Sagynbaev, as well as representatives from various professional fields.
In his speech to those present, Mayor Aibek Junushaliev congratulated the women on the holiday and wished them health, happiness, and well-being for their families.
"Bishkek has a population of over 1.5 million residents, and more than half of them are women. This emphasizes your significance in shaping the future and atmosphere of our city," the mayor noted.
According to him, the women of Bishkek actively participate in various spheres of city life, including raising children, developing education, culture, and entrepreneurship.
"You shape values and pass on knowledge to the next generations, strengthening families and creating an atmosphere of trust," he added.
The mayor also highlighted the contributions of the workers of the Municipal Enterprise "Bishkekzelenstroy" and "Tazalyk," thanking them for their important role in the beautification of the city.
The concert program included both classical works and modern hits, presented by well-known performers and creative teams. This event became an important sign of respect for women for their contributions to the development of society and the country.
