Kyrgyzstan will ratify the readmission agreement with Belarus
At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, a bill concerning the ratification of the readmission agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus, signed on September 29, 2025, in Minsk, was approved in the second reading.
This agreement will simplify the process of returning citizens who are in a foreign country without legal grounds, as well as ensure a more efficient transit of individuals subject to deportation, in accordance with international standards.
Furthermore, the document creates conditions for deepened cooperation between the competent authorities of both countries in the fight against illegal migration.
The ratification of this agreement aligns with the "roadmap" for Kyrgyzstan's integration into the Single Economic Space, which includes Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia, and expands the network of international readmission agreements already in effect with Russia, Kazakhstan, and Switzerland.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, there are currently 654 citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Belarus.
