In Bishkek, they want to change the payment system for municipal parking lots and parking spaces.

The capital city's mayor's office has developed a draft resolution for Bishkek "On the Regulation of Municipal Parking and Stopping Activities in Bishkek." It is expected that these changes will help optimize the use of parking spaces, reduce the load on the road infrastructure, and improve conditions for the operation of public transport.

Key aspects of the project:

approval of new rules for municipal parking and stopping;
establishment of fees for paid parking;
introduction of a separate tariff for parking with an automated payment system with hourly payment.

For parking lots with automated time tracking, the following hourly rates are planned:

from 30 to 50 soms for the first two hours;
20 soms for each subsequent hour.

The implementation of the automated system is expected to enhance management efficiency, reduce instances of long-term use of parking spaces in high-demand areas, and create conditions for the gradual modernization of parking infrastructure.
