The Bishkek municipality has prepared a draft resolution regarding the regulation of municipal parking lots and garages in the city. This document has already been presented for discussion to the deputies of the city council.
Key points of the document:
- development of an official Regulation on municipal parking lots and garages;
- establishment of clear parking tariffs;
- introduction of a separate hourly fee for parking lots with an automated time tracking system.
A zonal payment system is proposed in the center of Bishkek, where tariffs will vary from 30 to 50 soms depending on the specific zone.
For parking lots with automated time tracking, the following hourly rates are provided:
- 30–50 soms for the first two hours;
- 20 soms for each subsequent hour.
The city hall emphasizes that the implementation of an automated system will help reduce instances of long-term parking in the most sought-after areas, increase the efficiency of parking management, and modernize the capital's infrastructure.
The text of the draft resolution is available on the official website of the Bishkek city council.
