According to the investigation, in August 2024, the Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs received a signal about the detention of a dealer. An investigative-operational group was dispatched to the scene. During the arrest, the convicted individual named Kasym voluntarily handed over to law enforcement two heat shrink wraps and indicated the locations where he had previously left drugs. One heat shrink wrap was seized from each of the indicated addresses, totaling 26 pieces.
- According to the verdict of the Lenin District Court, Kasym was found guilty of the crime stipulated in paragraphs 1 and 3 of part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic "Illegal production of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogs for the purpose of sale by a group of individuals in a large amount." He was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment in a general regime correctional colony, as well as treatment for drug addiction related to mephedrone dependence in the institution where he will serve his sentence.
- The judicial panel for criminal cases and offenses of the Bishkek City Court confirmed the legality of the issued verdict.
After reviewing the case materials, the arguments of the cassation appeal, and hearing the parties, the Supreme Court concluded that the decisions of the lower courts were lawful and justified, leaving the verdicts of the Lenin District Court and the Bishkek City Court unchanged. The lawyer's cassation appeal was rejected.
