The first stage of the demolition of the structure built in violation of the approved project continues in Bishkek. Dismantling work began earlier this week, and journalists from 24.kg visited the site to learn about the progress of the work.
The metal frame that was previously erected at the site of the fountains near TSUM was found to be inconsistent with the approved project decisions. Changes to the project were not discussed at the urban planning council.
It is important to note that the Bishkek city hall provided the developer with three days to rectify the violations. Currently, the demolition is actively underway — the roof and part of the floor have been removed.
Additionally, there is an emphasis on the need to restore the fountain area that previously existed on this site. A mandatory condition for restoring the area is the reinstatement of the fountain composition.
The mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev, previously stated that the construction of the "Aychurek" facility near TSUM should be carried out strictly in accordance with the approved project. The city authorities received assurances from the management regarding compliance with the agreed documentation during the construction process.
