"Kyrgyzfilm" is holding an open script competition for films

The National Film Studio "Kyrgyzfilm," named after Tolomush Okeeva, has launched an open script competition for the creation of short and feature films, as well as popular science documentaries. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy.

According to the ministry, the competition covers several areas:


Participants in the competition can be legal entities registered in Kyrgyzstan, such as production studios, creative teams, and other organizations. Only scripts written in the Kyrgyz language and formatted in "American" style will be accepted for consideration.

The evaluation of scripts will be conducted based on ten criteria, including the originality of the idea, plot structure, character development, artistic level, adherence to language norms, authorial individuality, and other aspects.

The application period for the competition will last until July 17.
