In Kyrgyzstan, nearly 2 million vehicles are registered as of January 1, 2026
According to information provided by the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kyrgyz Republic, as of January 1, 2026, there are 1,909,961 registered vehicles in the country.
Comparing this with the data from 2024, when the number of cars was 1,697,100, shows an increase of 13%.
The distribution of registered vehicles by type is as follows:
— 972,252 gasoline cars (51%);
— 339,938 diesel cars (18%);
— 57,310 gas-powered vehicles (3%);
— 56,997 vehicles with gas-petrol installations (3%);
— 37,295 hybrids (2%).
The remaining registered vehicles belong to other categories.
Additionally, the Ministry noted a positive trend in the renewal of the vehicle fleet: in 2024, the share of cars not older than 5 years was only 1.5%, while by 2025 this figure increased to 4.5% of the total number of registered vehicles.
