Aibek Matkerimov, who held the position of First Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, has decided to resign. This information was reported by several media outlets citing their sources.

According to available information, this morning he said goodbye to his colleagues and announced his intention to resign voluntarily.

However, no official order for his dismissal has been issued.

Matkerimov took his position in December 2025, simultaneously with Ryspek Sydygaliev, who, as it became known today, was detained by the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).

Aibek Matkerimov was born on November 8, 1980. He is a graduate of the Issyk-Kul State Medical Academy named after I. Akhunbaev, as well as the International University named after Kantoro Toktomamatov and the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (RANEPA), where he obtained a master's degree in public administration. Previously, he also served as a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh of the VII convocation and was awarded the title of Honored Doctor of the Kyrgyz Republic.
