Drivers fined in Bishkek for exceeding harmful emissions
The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision conducted an inspection aimed at controlling emissions of harmful substances produced by motor vehicles.
According to information from the agency, inspectors from the Bishkek Regional Office of the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service, in cooperation with officers from the Patrol Police Department of Bishkek, carried out a raid to identify vehicles that violate environmental standards.
As a result of the inspection, three vehicles were found to exceed permissible levels of pollutant emissions by more than 50 percent.
Three protocols were drawn up against the drivers under Article 234 of the Code of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Offenses".
The total amount of fines imposed was 22,500 soms.
Similar activities are regularly conducted to improve air quality and reduce pollution levels in the capital.
