On February 19, a raid organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision took place in Bishkek. Inspectors from the Bishkek Regional Office of the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service, together with the police patrol service, checked vehicles for compliance with pollutant emission standards.

These activities are conducted regularly to improve air quality in the capital and reduce pollution levels.

During the inspection, it was found that three vehicles significantly exceeded the permissible emission standards for exhaust gases—by more than 50%. In accordance with Article 234 of the Code "On Offenses," three protocols were drawn up against the owners of these vehicles, and the total amount of fines amounted to 22,500 soms.

The purpose of such activities is to minimize the negative impact on the environment and public health, as well as to increase environmental responsibility among vehicle owners and ensure ecological safety.
