At the 2026 Winter Olympics taking place in Italy, Kyrgyz skier Timur Shakirov was unable to complete his run in the slalom.
A total of 96 athletes participated in this event. Shakirov started with number 84, but unfortunately made a mistake on the course during his first run and exited the race, eliminating himself from medal contention.
It is worth noting that more than half of the participants in the competition also failed to finish their first run, including the reigning Olympic champion Lucas Pinheiro Broten.
Earlier in these Games, Timur Shakirov placed 62nd in the giant slalom event.
