Tomorrow, the first day of Ramadan will begin in most countries.
The first day of Ramadan is expected to be on February 19, as reported by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan.
The agency denied rumors circulating on social media that fasting begins today, February 18.
“According to the observations and astronomical calculations conducted, February 18, 2026, in the Hijri calendar corresponds to the thirtieth day of the month of Sha'ban, and the first day of Ramadan will be on February 19,” representatives of DUMK clarified. They also noted that in most countries with a Muslim population, fasting will begin tomorrow.
