Currently, vehicle movement on the passes is being carried out in a normal mode. This information was provided by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
Road maintenance staff are working around the clock to clear snow cover on public roads, as well as to apply inert materials to prevent ice formation and to clear snow drifts.
On sections of roads under the control of contracting organizations, work is also being conducted to clear and widen the shoulders.
The Ministry strongly recommends that drivers adhere to safety rules when traveling through the passes, maintain the established speed limits, avoid crossing into oncoming traffic, follow traffic rules, and carry necessary tools and equipment.
