Today, February 9, in Kyrgyzstan, according to information from the Ministry of Transport and Communications, as of 10:30 AM all mountain passes in the country are open for traffic.
According to the agency's statement, road maintenance enterprises (RME) are ensuring full control over their sections in all seven regions. Round-the-clock duty is being maintained, as well as work on clearing the road surface from snow and applying inert materials to prevent ice formation.
The Ministry strongly recommends that drivers adhere to traffic rules, avoid entering the oncoming lane in any situation, and use winter tires while carrying necessary tools.
