
The meeting between the First Deputy Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Aibek Matkerimov, and representatives of the German Development Bank (KfW) and the consulting company GITEC-IGIP was dedicated to the implementation of a digital inventory system for medical equipment called SAMEDIS. This information was provided by the ministry's press service.
As part of this meeting, 150 printers and 1000 cartridges were handed over to medical institutions, which should help optimize processes and maintain a digital inventory of equipment.
The participants discussed the current status of the sectoral program "Healthcare V," funded by Germany, as well as issues related to technical support, data updates, and ensuring the sustainability of the system in healthcare.
According to the information, training sessions have already been conducted in all planned medical institutions, and the system has been launched. The inventory of equipment continues in the regions, while in Bishkek and the Chui region, healthcare organizations have completed the main phase and are now engaged in regular data updates.
Staff responsible for the database and quality control of the entered information have also undergone additional training. In the future, the functions of maintaining the inventory of medical equipment will be transferred to the state enterprise "Kyrgyzpharmacia."
Aibek Matkerimov thanked the German Development Bank (KfW) and GITEC-IGIP for their support, emphasizing that such cooperation contributes to enhancing the sustainability and efficiency of the national healthcare system.
The next stage of work includes organizing technical support and further developing digital solutions.
