A snow avalanche has occurred on the Bishkek–Naryn–Torugart highway, in the area of the Kara-Unkur gorge. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
Currently, the section of the road is open for one-lane traffic, with vehicles passing in turns.
The exact volume of snow that has fallen is still being determined. Specialists from road maintenance enterprise No. 41 are working at the scene to clear the road.
The Ministry of Transport urges drivers to be attentive to weather conditions, maintain distance, and adhere to the established speed limit, especially in mountainous areas.
