The State National Security Committee (GKNB) discovered in Batken that the building of the 'Batken tany' editorial office had been illegally transferred to private hands.
According to information provided by the committee, in January 2010, contrary to its strategic importance, the Ministry of State Property sold this building along with a land plot of 0.22 hectares based on a government decree of the Kyrgyz Republic dated September 17, 2008, No. 518, concerning the privatization program for state property for 2008–2012, violating existing regulations.
After conducting a series of operational activities, the building was returned to state ownership.
