The State National Security Committee (GKNB) discovered that the building of the editorial office of the regional newspaper "Batken tany" was illegally transferred to private hands.

According to the press service of the agency, the facility is located in Batken, Batken region. The investigation suggests that in January 2010, the Ministry of State Property, despite the importance of this building, sold the editorial building along with a land plot of 0.22 hectares based on a government decree on the privatization of state property for 2008-2012, violating the provisions of the same regulatory act.

As a result of the operational activities carried out, the building was returned to state ownership, as stated in the announcement.
