On February 13, a memorial rally was held in Kara-Kul dedicated to the 37th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.

This event was a tribute to the soldiers who died during the Afghan war, as well as a sign of respect for the veterans who continue to live among us.

The event was attended by the mayor of the city, Nurtilek Orozbaev, the chairman of the city council, Chyngyz Kimsanov, as well as representatives from various institutions, educational organizations, and students.

The attendees honored the memory of the fallen soldiers, emphasizing that their contribution to the defense of the Motherland will not be forgotten. During the rally, a prayer was said in their memory, and wreaths and flowers were laid at the monument dedicated to the soldiers who did not return from the war. At the end, the participants honored the memory of the deceased with a moment of silence.

Additionally, as a sign of support, 13 veterans living in Kara-Kul were provided with financial assistance from the local budget in the amount of 5,000 soms each.
