The project was initiated at the request of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
A significant project related to the construction of a rehabilitation town, which will be based on the existing "Maksat" center, is starting in the Kyrgyz Republic. This initiative was announced by the Ministry of Health.
The upcoming rehabilitation cluster will become a key institution for treating children with diagnoses such as cerebral palsy, autism, and Down syndrome, combining medical services with educational and scientific aspects.
Health Minister Kanybek Dosmambetov visited Archaly to check the readiness of the material and technical base for the implementation of the project.
According to information from the ministry's press service, the new town will provide comprehensive assistance to children suffering from cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders, and other diseases, including developmental delays.
The structure of the rehabilitation town includes specialized centers for inpatient, outpatient, and day rehabilitation, as well as a correction center for children with autism spectrum disorders and Down syndrome. In addition, a modern center for children with cerebral palsy with 150 places, a dormitory for parents and medical staff, as well as an educational and methodological block are planned to be created.
The town will include rehabilitation halls, a hydrotherapy pool, physical therapy and kinesitherapy blocks, massage, physiotherapy, sensory integration, speech therapy, and psychology offices, as well as functional and ultrasound diagnostics rooms. There will be occupational therapy zones and open spaces for rehabilitation and play, including elements of hippotherapy, which will help improve the physical and psycho-emotional condition of children.
The main goal of the project is to create a sustainable human resource potential and implement a multidisciplinary approach, which is planned to be expanded to all regions of the country in the future.
