The construction of the town is being carried out on the instruction of the president, and it will be based on the existing rehabilitation center "Maksat".
Health Minister Kanbek Dosmambetov has already visited the "Maksat" center to study its infrastructure, the conditions in which assistance is provided to children, as well as the territory for further development.
The project aims to create a rehabilitation town for children suffering from cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, developmental delays, and other disorders. It will include inpatient, outpatient, and day rehabilitation centers, as well as a correction center for children with autism spectrum disorders and Down syndrome, a modern center for children with cerebral palsy with 150 beds, as well as a dormitory for parents and medical workers and an educational methodological block.
The town will also feature rehabilitation halls, a hydrotherapy pool, rooms for physiotherapy, massage, sensory integration, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and psychology, as well as work therapy zones and open spaces for play and rehabilitation with elements of hippotherapy.
The work will be based on the principles of evidence-based medicine and a multidisciplinary approach with individualized rehabilitation programs, in which the family will be actively involved. Special attention will be paid to the training of specialists and the development of family-oriented assistance models.
This project aligns with the key directions of state policy in the field of child health care and rehabilitation and is seen as a model for dissemination in the regions, which will enhance the quality and accessibility of assistance for children.
