During a parliamentary session, Deputy Uluqbek Uzakbaev of the Jogorku Kenesh emphasized the importance of the training reform related to obtaining driver's licenses. He noted that any changes in this area require serious justification.
The deputy pointed out the long-standing absence of systemic changes in the process of issuing driver's licenses, which has created a number of problems.
“The problem was such that driver's licenses could even be bought in the underground passages of Moscow, and there were cases of forgery by private companies. The state is taking steps to improve the situation. Now we are producing driver's licenses ourselves. The statistics are sad: in 2025, 900 people died as a result of traffic accidents, among whom 99 were minors. This is a tragedy for many families,” he noted.
According to Uzakbaev, the approach to solving this problem is becoming more systematic, although the reform process requires time and effort.
“There is a probationary period that will last until August. We must effectively convey information to the public. It is necessary to stop various interpretations and support the state. This situation needs to be brought under control,” the deputy added.
