According to preliminary information, the incident occurred at the Juyrguur pasture, located within the Birinchi-Mai rural district of the Kara-Kulja region. The individual trapped under the snow is a citizen B. uulu M., born in 1989.
Rescue forces from the Kara-Kulja district unit No. 66 were called on February 1, 2026, at 15:00. However, despite the involvement of five rescuers, they were unable to reach the scene due to the onset of darkness.
At 06:00 the next day, an operational group led by the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic for the Osh region, Lieutenant Colonel A. Isakulov, along with ten rescuers from the Republican Separate Rescue Unit, headed to the site to continue the search operations.
