Human rights defender Gulshaiyr Abdi rasulova reported on the situation

The Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic has decided to postpone the hearing in the case of Mahabat Tajibek kyzy until March 3. This was reported by human rights defender Gulshaiyr Abdi rasulova on her social media.

“Today, there was supposed to be a hearing at the request of the defense of Mahabat Tajibek kyzy to review the case in light of new circumstances related to the decision of the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention,” she wrote.

However, the panel of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic rescheduled the meeting for March 3 at 11:15, which means an additional month of waiting,” the human rights defender clarified on Facebook.

Gulshaiyr Abdi rasulova also noted that in the last four weeks, Mahabat's health has deteriorated, and her family is forced to bring her medications every week.

“According to the lawyer, Mahabat needs more thorough examinations, such as ultrasound and MRI, and this raises serious concerns for me...” she added.
